Dr. Ahmed Idris, Secretary General at the Kenya Red Cross Society.

He has previously served as the Deputy Secretary General in charge of corporate services (Supply Chain, Finance and Administration) and the Executive Director of the International Center for Humanitarian Affairs.

He has also served as the Head of Policy and Advocacy and Governance Manager. Dr Idris holds a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science), a Bachelor of Law and a Master of Law in International Law. He also holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School Tufts University and Master of Studies in International Human Rights Law from University of Oxford. Dr. Ahmed has over ten years' experience shaping law and policy in Kenya and the region, working with public governments and communities to address humanitarian challenges.
